Ellmer School of Nursing

The Ellmer School of Nursing was established in 1967 and has been preparing exceptional nurses for professional practice for over 56 years. We are proud of our consistently high pass rates on licensing and certification exams for our graduates. The ODU Ellmer School of Nursing offers a variety of programs and degrees at the bachelor's, master's, and doctoral levels. The school is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) and approved by the Virginia Board of Nursing. Our success can be credited to a faculty committed to delivering high-quality nursing education using innovative teaching methods, distance learning technologies for selected course delivery, and support from grant awards.
